With Scott back to work the kids and I began to get into a full schedule complete with adventures to new sights, fun-filled play dates and even relaxing afternoons.
Ryan and Ellie are getting along great - Ryan is quite a loving and attentive big brother!
Big brother hugs ...
Ryan helping mommy take Ellie's "1 month" pictures ...
We spend a lot of time outside enjoying our warm summer weather!
Here we are spending more time in our backyard ... Ryan has a blast with his water play!
We just love to carry things around!
Ryan checking on his litter sister ...
Ryan keeping mommy company while she washes her car!
Ryan has some nice friends ... we spent a lot of our summer days with them!
Here we are at a fantastic indoor "play ground" ... so many friends and so much to do!
Ryan loved this larger than life chess set! They are quite large pieces!
Special friends!
Ryan is loving his new found ability to climb!
Such good buddies!
Ryan makes new friends wherever we go too! Here he is with his fun fish pole balloon that he got from the birthday party at our local pizza parlor. Yup, he's a successful party crasher! ... he's just too outgoing and cute to miss!
Summertime wouldn't be complete without experimenting with food ... Ryan is getting so much better with utensils ... we have been practicing a lot!
Here he is practicing with chocolate pudding ... he has his mommy's love of chocolate so what better practice food?
When he's not eating, he enjoys helping cook ... now his cooking is complete with tastings and "mmmmmm" seals of approval!
At the end of July we went to our local LPA event and had a great visit with some of our fellow LPA families. We all love the LPA community - it's nice to have friends who understand our hurdles big and small - and also later Ryan will enjoy having friends "just like me" :)
Here we are on our way home ... Ryan had a blast!
We cannot wait to attend our Regional event in the fall ... and hopefully the National event in a year or two!
August began with a fantastic weekend at the race track. Ryan just LOVES cars and trucks! We all had a blast!
Before heading to the track, Ryan helps grandpa at home in his garage ... checking out the cars making sure they are track ready!
On our way to the track! Both kids take after mom ... not big fans of long car rides ... yup, that's me in the middle of 2 car seats in the back seat!
Ryan didn't want to take off his track headphones!
Mommy and Grandpa ready to get out on the track ... Ryan counting down the years until he gets a turn!
What a summer it has been! Mommy and daddy are feeling pretty lucky!
... on to the next adventure ...
what a sweet family! i want to get together soon!
