Spring has
been a blur in our household. Lots keeping us busy … our house build, new friends, school, sickness,
holidays, family visits and more!
Lots of
outdoor fun has been had with the warm – and temporary tolerable – weather here in AZ!
Sometimes you just need a power nap!
Ryan's "tree" ... a school project that has turned into our little project!
Springtime
showed a lot of exciting progress with our house! It went from the framed house to our home
complete with keys in hand! Here are
some pictures of the progress … so exciting!
All Done!

Helping mommy and daddy with a few chores as we get ready for the big move ...
We can’t
wait to move into our forever home!
At the end
of April we went to our very first LPA Conference! Our Regional Conference was only a short way
from home so we couldn’t resist checking it out! Ellie stayed home with a favorite babysitter
and Ryan got us to himself for the special experience. We attended a parent meeting where we met with other parents who have children with dwarfism too! Some are also little people and some are average height like us. I really enjoyed hearing input from everyone - especially those who are little people themselves. I got some great ideas and also reassurance that we are doing great so far! We also went to the super fun picnic where we played and socialized. What a fantastic group of people! We sure are
lucky to have this group.
Mothers Day
was a special day for me thanks to my awesome family. We had my favorite breakfast – Starbucks of
course! With my mom in CA this was the first year we
didn’t get to share the day together.
That was a bummer, but I know we can celebrate next time she is
here! She and I are good at that sort of
thing :) After a relaxing morning,
Scott, the kids and I spent the afternoon at the pool together! Another day full of sunshine!
Just after
Mothers Day Ryan got a tummy bug that quickly turned into a critical issue and
landed him in the hospital. We went to
the ER as instructed by his pediatrician for fluids since it appeared he was dehydrated. But when we got there we found out that his
blood sugar was critically low! He was
treated immediately by a fantastic ER department at our local children’s
hospital. I’m so grateful for that
crew. After he stabilized he was
admitted since he was at such a low level.
It was a long and stressful 3 days but thanks to the doctors and nurses
he did ok and is doing ok now! The
doctors don’t think that this had to do with his achondroplasia, but because of
his small size it does make it a bigger issue.
Next step is a visit to metabolic specialist. Wish us luck!

"Sleeping In" on our 2nd morning during our stay...
Keeping busy as we start to feel better ..
After that
rough patch, we ended the month of May on a high note … Scott and I are
officially homeowners! We are thrilled
with our home!
Ryan
finished the school year just after he got better – we can’t believe that he is
already done with his first year of preschool!
Now that
it’s summertime it’s starting to heat up!
Checking out our new community pool ...
Ryan helping Ellie get her 1st haircut!
Kids' movie night!
Play Date at the "beach" :)
Movie day with our friends ... 1st time at the movies!
Our future is bright for sure!
What a
fantastic Spring. I’m a lucky mum
:)
